Pre-Purchase Property Assessment

House hunting can be a daunting process and buying a new home a scary decision that you may take only that once in your lifetime. Knowing that you made the right decision and that your chosen home can become the sanctuary you had been dreaming of for your family will increase your confidence, and consequently bring strong and positive energy into your environment.

It is crucial to recognize that our home affects our life, and that the energy of our physical surroundings influences the way we feel, think, and behave.

When searching for a dream home that supports a fulfilling life, it is crucial to evaluate the property beyond factors such as price, condition, size, style, and convenience. Let’s take the example of a family who believes they found the perfect home at the right price, with enough room to grow, a beautiful back yard, and a location close to schools and work. That property, however, is located on a former dumping site or in close vicinity to a power generator station. From a Feng Shui perspective, that house has to be avoided because of the harmful effects on our health.

Many house problems can be adjusted with cures or remedies to create a more harmonious and nourishing chi flow in the home, and consequently, in the life of its inhabitants.

My goal is to help you find a home with the best Feng Shui possible, identify potential sources of unhealthy energy, and create a space with a smooth and beneficial chi flow.

The pre-purchase property assessment consists of a comprehensive list of potential problems divided into broader categories including site, neighborhood, structure, configuration, and interior features. As we walk through the property and look at the floor plan, I will evaluate the presence or degree of difficulty for each item. If the severity of a problem is such that the property should be avoided, I will communicate this fact to you immediately before we go into an in-depth consultation. In most cases, however, we will have a full exterior and interior consultation. Payment is due at the end of the consultation and a comprehensive report including solutions for any identified problem will be sent within 48 hours of the consultation.

Time estimate: Approximately one hour for the first 1000 square feet, then 1/2 hour for every 1000 square feet.
